Ephemere
A high-resolution, dual-channel recording interface that stretches or compresses whatever you feed it, from a 4-second grain up to a 1014-second smear, and plays it back forward, backward, or bouncing between the two.
Each of Ephemere’s two channels records to its own SD card slot at up to 16-bit / 44.1kHz, but the interesting range starts once you slow it down, down to a single pass over 1014 seconds, with the OLED display and an input pot that doubles as an offset/CV generator keeping track of exactly where you are in a scan.
Six record modes and three playback directions, forward, backward, pendulum, turn the two channels into something closer to a pair of variable-speed tape loops than a sampler, and a built-in quantizer mode with adjustable scale means what comes back out can already sit in tune with the rest of a patch.
